At your side. On your side.

Welcome

The whole team at Advanced Therapy Solutions (ATS) wants to welcome you to what will be one of many steps on your journey of healing and recovery.

Clinical Core Team We started ATS in 2004 to offer mental health services to those who were having problems finding them elsewhere. We found that individuals were struggling to find timely services and were being asked to wait weeks or months to get an appointment. From day one we have been committed to offering timely services. For therapy services, this means you will be offered an appointment within three business days of an initial phone conversation with a therapist; for child and adolescent services, this means services will start within 30 days of an initial intake meeting. We understand that when an individual or family is in need, they don’t want to wait weeks or months for support and assistance.

We have always been committed to meeting the needs of our community, which is why we started in the first place. Through conversations with families, case managers and professionals, we began to identify additional areas of need in our community. We now offer Children’s HCBS services for kids on the Intellectual Disability, Brain Injury, and Children’s Mental Health Waivers, and Behavioral Health Intervention Services. We have also recently become one of the first providers of Home-Based Habilitation Services for teens and young adults.

As ATS has continued to meet the needs of our community we have grown significantly, including adding many committed and passionate professionals to support and assist in your healing journey. You will not find a more committed and supportive team to partner with you and your family in your time of need.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed we are all aware of the stress that the holiday season can bring.  When some families get together and most of the work falls on one person.  In some families that is Grandma, or Mom, or Aunt, for others it is Mom and Dad.  No matter who that person is, it's hard work.
One of the wonderful things about life is that we always have choices.  We can choose what we wear and what we eat.  More importantly we can choose how we think and what our perspective is on a subject.
This holiday season ask yourself about your perspective.  Identify what it is that is frustrating and why.  Could you take another perspective, look at it another way?
Here is an example:
I tend to be a quiet and get it done kind of person.  So holiday times in my family involve me and some others doing all the cooking, and often much else, while others talk, eat, watch TV, or play games.  When I don't think about it I choose the perspective "I have to work so hard to make them happy."  This usually results in me becoming frustrated and feeling rushed (even when there is nothing to rush for).
These last few years I have actively chosen a new perspective "I really enjoy cooking, the compliments the food gets, and helping others have a good time." Holidays are more fun now, all that work has become play.
This lesson can extend to many more areas of our lives: work, friends, famiily, etc.  Where will you choose a new perspective?
